Material Handler

Work Location: North Platte, NE

Salary: $15.10 per hour

Basic Purpose of Job:

Receives and stores materials, tools, and equipment; fills orders or issues equipment, tools, and materials to internal customers; compiles records of supply transactions; verifies that supplies received match requisitions and invoices; stores and transports supplies and equipment within warehouse; may move or transport materials or supplies to other departments using hand or industrial truck; may examine stock to verify conformance to specifications; inventories materials and supplies.

Accountabilities:
  • Requires lifting, packaging, forklift operation, and various other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Training, Experience or Skills:
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.

  • Applicants must have a valid driver's license or be able to obtain one in a reasonable amount of time.

  • Qualified applicants must be able to read and comprehend regulations and instructions as well as possess good verbal communication skills.

  • Applicants must pass a typing test of 35 words per minute net. Click here to take a practice typing test.

  • Applicants must complete a physical agility test to be considered for an interview. If you have taken this test and failed within the last six months, you will not be eligible to apply for this position.

  • The probationary period is 60 calendar days.

Work Conditions:
  • Must provide your own transportation.

  • Must be available to work any shift.

  • Work is primarily performed inside, however, outside work is required.
