Wellness

We want to make sure when you are sick, you have healthcare coverage. But we also want to help you avoid medical problems. Our wellness programs are nationally recognized, making Union Pacific one of the healthiest employers in the nation.

Employee Assistance

Talking to a counselor can help you address personal issues and be more effective at home and at work. Our Employee Assistance Program is confidential and provided to our employees at no cost.

Well-Being Assessments and Wellness Portal

The Well-Being Assessment is a voluntary, confidential, free online tool designed to help our employees and spouses better understand the key factors that affect overall well-being.  It provides access to a wellness portal where a well-being plan for achieveing and tracking goals based upon assessment results can be created.

Health Consumer Information and Health Coach

Union Pacific offers a number of resources to help you be a smarter healthcare consumer. We have a 24-hour nurse line, online information about healthcare topics, and price and quality ratings for providers in your area.

We can help you assess your risk for certain health problems, and we offer targeted counseling with a registered nurse to help you decrease that risk.

Wellness and Fitness Services

We offer an on-site fitness center in our Omaha, Nebraska, headquarters and offer a network of fitness centers across the country for our employees to use. In some locations, you’ll also have access to personal training and exercise classes.

Tobacco Cessation Program

Union Pacific helps employees quit smoking with a subsidized tobacco cessation program. Our program includes prescription medication to reduce your urge to smoke – as well as telephone counseling and educational materials.
